Cinema One Originals and Ledge Productions in cooperation with NCCA and VitalStrats Creative Solutions present "SEROKS".

"SEROKS", a psychological drama starring Juliana Palermo unreels at the 2nd Annual Cinema One Originals Digital Movie Festival on November 24-26 at the Indie Sine (Cinema 8 ) of Robinsons Galleria. One of the winning seven digital movie proposals, "SEROKS" will be shown Friday 5pm, Saturday 1pm
and Sunday 945pm. Tickets at P100.

The digital movie written and directed by Ed Lejano, makes use of the film noir style and fuses elements of the thriller, in conveying a recurring pattern of duplication that reflect the film's title.

Set in the vibrant world of Recto, Palermo plays the mysterious woman who moves into a boarding house above a xerox shop. Her femme fatale character soon encounters
the xerox operator played by Neil Ryan Sese (who portrayed one of the brothers in Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Olivares).

Their fateful meeting triggers a series of duplicating events. This ushers the film's unpredictable plot developments as it branches out to involve the other offbeat characters that inhabit the world of "SEROKS".

The richly-textured film noir drama also stars Lauren Novero, Soliman Cruz, Mystika, Ramon Bautista, Alchris Galura and Maria Isabel Lopez. Cinematography is by the award-winning Neil Daza, the screenplay co-written by Lye Candelaria and
line-produced by Amor Olaguer.

I would not dig deep to the story.. I don't even know what the story is anyway!

Mabuti na lang malakas ang tama saken ng pulang toro, kung hindi kanina pa ko humaharok. Kumusta naman diba? in 48 hrs, 3hrs lang dun ung tulog ko!

At kahit ilang muta na ang nasayang, hindi pa rin pala sapat para matapos at makapagpasa ontime ng MP. Kasalanan 'to ni Bagyong Milenyo. Dahil sa kanya, walang kuryente sa lugar namin, mula pa noong Thursday hanggang ngayon. Sumabog kasi ung transformer. Argh! Ang lupit diba? Kung kelan naman deadline na ng MP, at may paper pang due sa Tuesday, at eto pa, exam pa pala ng EEE sa Tuesday.. Kumusta naman daba?

Haggard na ko.. Waricks nang beauty, puro na lang luggages sa ilalim ng mata.

At least sa ngayon, tapos na ung interpreter namin.. Aye.. kumusta naman ulit? Isang araw na kaming late.. Tsk tsk..

Of all the hell weeks I had gone through (yet), none had been like the y4it/arte week. I mean, had been so physically tired before, and even emotionally.. but the heck.. arte has almost driven me crazy..

OK... I should have shut my mouth because it's over anyway.. But the heck! I just can't get over those days! And I mean all of those days!

Thought 'twas easy, that was before I agree to take the work. I thought wrong. 'Twas not something I had imagined it to be.

But thanks anyway to Arte, I owe a lot of experiences to it, and I mean a lot, even first-time-experiences:

* mapagalitan sa Trinity College. Andun kami para mang-invite ng sasali sa Arte. The old lady in the Student's Affairs Office gave us (me and Melai) a little blah-blah about clothing-ethics(?) or dressing ethics(?) or whatever she was talking about. (I was wearing flipflops then, maong pants and y4it t-shirt.) But duh!? Kumpara mo naman ung UP sa Trinity!? Tapos sabi pa nya: "hindi ba kayo gina-guide nang admin nyo na magdamit nang maayos? kami kasi dito we are very strict with our students that's why they have good ethics.." Shit! Hindi naman kami makikipag-meeting sa kanila. Magaabot lang kami ng posters.. Kelangan pa ba naming mag-heels? Mabuti na lang matanda na sya.. kung hindi eh baka nasagot ko lang sya... Duh!? Kahit pa nakahubad kami, may laman naman mga utak namin noh! bleh!

*maglakad ng malayo. School hopping. From St. Paul, naglakad kami to Trinity (kasi sabi nung manong guard sa St. Paul malapit na daw ung Trinity, pwede lakarin). From Trinity nilakad naman namin ung DLS-STI (walking distance lang daw eh). The three schools are all along E. Rod Ave. And whattheffffffff! It was like walking ten thousand miles!! Argh!

*magmukhang olats sa harap ng mga judges. We meet them kasi after the deadline of entries. My co-head told me na 530pm start ng meeting. But na-late ako kasi may inihabol pang entry sakin si Mari so we have to burn the cd's again to add the pahabol entry. And what more?! Sinabi ata nung co-head ko na may i-didiscuss ako with the judges?? Naglabas kasi ung isang judge ng paper and pen, mag-no-notes daw sya kasi mag-didiscuss daw ako.. Hell! Hindi ko alam na ganun.. Tsktsk.. Hindi ako prepared..

Dapat binigay mo na lang sakin ung contacts tapos ako na lang ung nagtawag!" . OK.. Na-lurkaey ang beauty ko.. Wala akong nasabi, natulala na lang ako.. Tapos hinagis ko ung fon ko.."p@!#@^&$%! wala kasing load tong fon na 'to!" Xet... Louis Andrew Dizon... Bakit ikaw hindi mo 'ko sinisigawan? Bakit sila sinisigawan ako? Huhu.. Hanggang ngaun, we're still not in good terms.

'Twas my first event to handle. I mean, OK, naging block handler na 'ko before. Pero iba kasi 'to. I have no idea how to move and what to do. But still, thanks to Him because 'twas a success. And thanks to all the people who helped. Special mention to my co-head Kai, my bf Louis (who did all the exte stuff), my best friends Malen and Melai, to the arte sub-head Roy, Ria and Renz, to Info head Mari and of course to all the volunteers and everyone who contributed to make this event possible.. weeee...

Ayan.. nagtext na ang nanay ko.. 35 hrs na daw nya akong hindi nakikita.. Bilang talaga.. At sa 35hrs na un, 32 hrs akong gising.. Mulat na mulat ang mata..

Sa sobrang dami ng ginagawa, halos hindi na ko makita sa bahay.. Maski siguro ung kwarto ko hindi na ko kilala.. Ung mga gamit ko laging naninibago pag dumadating ako para guluhin sila.. Argh..

Sa isang linggo, nag-o-overnight ako sa ibang bahay siguro atmost 3 times.. Kawawa naman ung nanay ko, namimiss na ko ng husto.. Tapos kapag sa bahay naman ako umuuwi, maaga na ang alas-diyes na dating ko. Tsk! Tapos matutulog na 'ko nun kasi puyat, o kung minsan kapag kaya ko pang pahirapan ang sarili ko, mag-aaral pa ko hanggang sa madaling-araw.. At sa umaga naman, isang oras pagkagising ko, lumalarga na ulit ako..

The smell of the rain soaking the earth never failed to bring nostalgia. I could have started telling you some things you might not be interested with. I could have told you about this delicious corn-and-malunggay soup served hot on my breakfast table this morning. Or the guy on the PUJ who smelled old incense. Or maybe about the doodles and drawing I made during my CS150 class. Or I could tell you about that supposed practical exam in EEE 8 (lab) that is moved in and out of schedule. Or the oral recitation in Social Science class. Yeah, I think I can add the missed water containers.. And how I suffered so much with the pain in my leg. Darn! I could even shout here the misfortunes I met with the MultiKara program (programmable lady bug)! Or tell you how mean Jasper Castillo is!

Really. I could elaborate on all of the above without evn stopping, to tell you the truth. But the problem wiht me is I'm not in the moo to tell you that.. You know, you shoukd have the mood if you're trying to tell some one about your cereal, your classmate, or even your misfortunes. Right, you should have the mood for thingd like that or you'll end up telling no one nothing...

Urine Sample #21: The Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy, bitsy spider, climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
So the itsy, bitsy spider went up the spout again.

So bale ilang araw na ring umuulan.. err.. bumabagyo pala.. Kala ko wala na ring pasok ngayon.. Argh!

Sarap talaga matulog lang kapag umuulan, ung tipong may malambot na kutson, madaming unan at madulas na kumot.. *yawn* ^-^ Sarap magkulong lang sa loob ng bahay... Natutulog, kumakain, naglalaro, at nanonood.

Pero nakakalungkot lang kasi tuwing bumabagyo at tila pabor sa mga kachorvahan ko ang panahon, maraming bayan naman ang lubog sa baha at naghihirap sa kalamidad. Ang malupit pa nyan, ang dami daming namamatay dahil sa landslide.

Kagabi nanood ako ng Magpakailanman sa GMA7. Featured story nila ung kay Irene at Aling Irenea na both survivors sa landslide na naganap sa St. Bernard, Leyte. That was Feb16. Bago lang.

Sobrang kinilabutan ako.. Isang buong barangay ang natabunan ng lupa... Isang buong barangay. Hindi na nga makilala ang mga lugar sa barangay na un tulad nung elementary school nila. Madami daw estudyante dun. May parada kasi ung Women's League nila dun. Selebrasyon. Hayyy.. Kawawa ung mga batang naipit sa paaralan.

Si Aling Irenea, pitong apo ang nawala sa kanya, dalawang biyenan at dalawang anak. Ang dami nun... Labing isang buhay... Tsk tsk... Si Irene naman, nawalan ng dalawang kapatid, ang kanyang ama at ang baby nya na mahigit isang linggo palang. Bunsong kapatid na lang ang natira sa kanya..

It just more than a month past the hassle registration. The sem is just starting. But piles of papers are left unread, a couple or two articles are left unwritten, and some important questions are left unanswered.. Deadlines had been made but have not been met (as the moment). Cramming is on the sight. Pressures are getting the nerve of me, and I just can't get the hang of
it. People are moving fast forward once more, and I'm still lazying around, worrying about trivial antrocities of life and complaining about ambiguous facts of human equality.

It could have been the same old turtle.. the one who used to walk when I get tired. But, what the heck! I'm just starting my first sem in my third year! I can't find anything to put the blame on, nothing but the little mass of meat in my head that refuses to take any information forced into it.

I don't think I have that much to do. I mean, I just need to finish two problem sets in CS 135 (Algorithm Design and Analysis), prepare for a seatwork (topic: proving correctness of loop invariant), write two news article for Parser, run my scholarship forms, read at least a hundred pages in Social Science, review for the upcoming exams and work as @rte Movement head (Digital Arts and Photography Contest).

Now, my eyeglasses finally gave up. After three years of service, my first and only eyeglasses broke into halves... literally!

It's hard without it. I could have survived walking in streets, corridor, and not recognizing anyone few feets away. But, please Goodness! I can't have classes without my glasses!!! (whoa, rhyming huh?) Well, just like the lecture classes in CS 140 (Operating Systems) last monday, CS 135 and Stat130 this morning... I just sat and slept until dismissal time. WTF! Now I have to catch up with the discussions I missed, Argh!
